Welcome to Tassie
We flew quite early to Hobart : 7am.
We took a cab to the airport. Welcome to Jetstar world !
Then we stayed 2 nights in a weird BP in Hobart, Tassie's capital. It is a quiet place but thanks to the Taste festival we enjoyed it !
I love food so much...
We saw the first fireworks for New Year's Eve. Then we went to bed, quite exhausted.
It had been a long day. We walked much.
From January, 1st to 4th, we had a lovely white Toyota. We rented it beccause it allowed us to visit this small and beautiful island, surrounded by nature, easily.
We drove to Pirates' Bay, Mount Field National Park, with its wonderful waterfalls and trecks !
Mount Wellington was snowy and really windy ! I thought I would fly ! Scary ! The wind was too strong ! However the coast was sunny...
We visited Port Arthur and its convict prison ! Quite impressive and such relaxing gardens !
I have fallen in love with Freycinet National Park, its beach ! Blue and wonderful ! Oh Wineglass bay and its wallabies ! So cute !
We saw many dead animals on the roads but lots of them are alive in parks.
Tassie is a good place to drive on the left side. No much traffic and and I enjoyed driving !
Our last 2 days were in Launceston. We went to Cradle mountain park. The water of the lake was golden !
We walked Cataract Gorge in Launceston. Nice walk !
I should do more sport by the way...
We left Tassie with Virgin Blue and went back to Melbourne to drive the Great Ocean Road !
